Main Beliefs

Wales

Looking in from afar, Wales aren't really a footballing nation. Other than the north, who love it, due to close proximity with the north-west of England. Known for pride, strength and desire to win, these just aren't the qualities needed to be good at football anymore. Carl Fletcher, Robbie Savage, even Craig Bellamy are all players who will do everything to win, and for their country. But lack the skill needed to lift the, onto the next stage. However, with the youngsters coming through, anything could happen, With Wayne Hennessey, Ched Evans, Sam Vokes, Neil Eardley, Lewin Nyatanga, Chris Gunter, Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale ready to lead the line, Wales could either disappoint, despite the obvious potential of the team, or go that one step further than the last generation. Winning a play-off. Oh how we dream, but are these dreams too far into the distance?

Manchester United

Annoy me like hell. I love Manchester United, but some of the recent decisions have been awful. Worst mistake of the summer, was to let Carlos Quieroz go. Carlos Quieroz was the one who nurtured, helped and supported the likes of Ronaldo, Nani and Anderson, never mind finding them in the first place. Ferguson's abilty in the transfer market isn't what it used to be, looking at the signings of Eric Djemba-Djemba, Kleberson and David Bellion, when we didn't have Quieroz to help him. He has made Ronaldo what he is, and now that he's gone, I'm sure Ronaldo won't be as motivated as before, especially now that his relationship with Ferguson has been brought to light after his transfer saga. I don't care if he wanted to leave, or whether we were offered a lot of money, he was much too important to let go. 2nd of all, Berbatov. He is by no means the player we needed. We needed a striker yes, but someone who compared to Rooney is as slow as a rock in mud, no. What won us the league last year was our unprecedented unexpectedness. The attacking 6 players were usually Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo, Giggs, Scholes and Carrick. Look at the first 5, the 5/6 defensive players in the opposing team would be in hell coming up against these 5. The off-the-radar movement, the pin-point passing and the blistering pace, mixed together with strength and accuracy would mean that at some times, we were unplayable. Now, with Berbatov, players will be playing off him. Waiting for flicks from him. That means, we won't see Ronaldo running at the defenders, or Scholes playing an amazing diagonal ball towards the brilliant run by Giggs. Berbatov will be the focal point every attack, which is much easier to defend against. Need an example? Van Nistelrooy. He was brilliant for us, scored loads of goals, but the fact is we only won 1 league title during his time here, and with the accompanying Beckham, Giggs, Solskjaer, Scholes and Keane for support, the team around him could have done better. Waste of £30,000,000. I would have rathered we'd kept Saha.
The fact we didn't sell Ronaldo was ludicrous. Figures as high as £70,000,000 were being mentioned. No player is worth that much in today's game. WIth the money, we could have got Villa, Robinho and Ramos. Not Berbatov.

Chelsea, QPR, Man City etc.

Foreign ownership, I am a fan of. Although, it could be made better. Matching up the greatest people who are incredible at something will always bring success and entertainment. However, I think FIFA should make a 'World League'. Sort of a World Club Cup, but on a much wider scale. The '39th Game' saga was brought to our attention because it is another way of making money. Well, the 'World League' would do this, aswell as matching up England's greatest, against Portugal's, France's. against Brazi'ls. As long as the best teams were in it, not some random team from Australia to make it 'politically correct'. With the right attitude by the fans and everyone involved, it could be an amazing success to fill the void in the hearts of the fans who are becoming sick and tired of the people who are treating THEIR sport as a monopoly.

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT TO LET ME KNOW OF YOUR CONFLICTING VIEWS, AND I WILL BLOW THEM AWAY WITH MY FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE.

If I can't, i wll embrace them as my own....=]
